They’ll look to get back on track tonight with rookie Griffin Jax taking the mound. Grffin brings to the table a 3-1 overall record this season with a 5.11 ERA and a 1.25 WHIP. In his last start on Monday against the Indians, he gave up 4 runs in just six innings.
The good news for Minnesota is that Miguel Sano will be back after missing the last couple games due to him welcoming a new baby (looks like it wasn’t Twins!), but definitely a big congratulations to him.

Boston Red Sox:
For Boston, they are coming off an 8-4 win against the terrible Texas Rangers. It was a good win for the Red Sox after being destroyed by the Rangers on Saturday 10-1 where they went into that matchup as a huge -330 favorite.
They’ll look for another win tonight with the 25-yard old right hander, Tanner Houck being called up from Triple A to get the start. In seven starts and 2 relief appearances this season, Tanner owns a pretty solid 3.12 ERA and a 1.15 WHIP, so it’s going to be very interesting watching him back in the rotation for this one.
Boston hasn’t looked so hot after the all star break and they’re now 6.5 games back from being at the top of the AL East. They want to pull a sweep like the Yankees just did. The Yankees won 9 of the last 10, so even though there’s 36 games left of the regular season, I think this is considered still a huge series for Boston.
The Red Sox are 5-1 straight up in their last 6 games at home and the total has gone under in 6 of Boston’s last 7 games against Minnesota.
