Georgia Bulldogs:
Quarterback JT Daniels who took over in the last four games of the 2020 season and he’ll look to continue that momentum after earning the starting position for the Bulldogs. The Junior last season put up 1,231 total yards and 10 touchdowns while only throwing two interceptions.
All eyes will be on the defense of Georgia, who lost some players in the offseason, but with their top recruiting they should be able to easily fill those voids.
In 2020, the Bulldogs put up an average of 32.3 points per game, but had that great defense that top ranked defense that only gave up an average of 20 points per game.
The Bulldogs are 6-0 straight up in their last 6 games played in week 1 and the total has gone over in 4 of Georgia’s last 6 games when playing as the underdog.
Clemson Tigers:
On the other side field, the Trevor Lawrence era has come to an end and now I’m pumped up to see what Quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei at the helm for this Tigers offense. We did get to see our what Uiagalelei brings to the table in two games last season, but it’s going to be great to watch a bigger sample size of the talent he bring to the table. He’ll have a strong core of running backs Will Shipley, and Lyn-J Dixon and Kobe Pace to help him out and they should be able to put up big numbers in this game with the new players starting for Georgia on that defensive line.
Last season the Tigers scored an average of 43 points per game, while giving up only an average of 22 points on defense. The Tigers are 20-0 straight up in their last 20 games played in September and the total has gone over in 5 of Clemson’s last 7 games played in week 1.
