MLB picks: Brewers@ Diamondbacks; 09:10 PM

There is a strong gossip about the Arizona Diamondbacks being interested in roping in Milwaukee's Yovani Gallardo. However, the right-hander has been undefeated against the Diamondbacks and will currently help the visiting Brewers hand the NL West leaders a fourth consecutive defeat tonight. For the single time in his career of seven golden years, Gallardo, who is 7-8 with a 4.85 ERA, is part of some serious trade talk while Milwaukee (37-53) is fancying with one of the majors' worst records. Clinging to a 1 1/2-game division lead and looking to ignite the rotation that's not having starters (injured) Brandon McCarthy and Trevor Cahill, Arizona (47-44) seems to be quite in need of Gallardo's services.

Baseball predictions expert reports that Gallardo can try to progress his 7-0 record and a 1.55 ERA in 10 regular-season and playoff starts against the Diamondbacks. He is going 4-0 with a 1.48 ERA at Chase Field, but hopes for a progress in the outing after allowing four runs and nine hits in six innings of an 8-7, 11-inning home defeat to Arizona on April 7. Gallardo has permitted total 17 runs in 13 innings while losing a pair of three overall, but he has earned the win on Saturday after he allowed four runs in six innings of a 7-6 victory over the New York Mets. Milwaukee was whitewashed by the Diamondbacks in April, and they now look to avoid a third straight loss at Chase Field, where Arizona was swept by the surging Los Angeles Dodgers. The Diamondbacks had blown a one-run lead in the ninth inning and then lost 7-5 in 14 innings on Thursday. The Brewers have, however, failed to record a sweep of their own with the Wednesday's 6-2 defeat to Cincinnati. None of Norichika Aoki or Ryan Braun played well enough as Milwaukee was limited to two runs and four hits for the second straight contest.

MLB weekly picks insider reports that, batting at an average of .405 this month, Aoki is anticipated back after staying absent in a pair of straight games with elbow tightness. He has batted .457 (16 for 35) with three RBIs in eight career matchups against Arizona. Braun also is likely to play after his return from missing a month with a thumb injury. Braun is 2 for 5 with two homers against scheduled Arizona starter Wade Miley who is 5-7 with an ERA of 4.06. Miley has allowed one run spanning over 13 2-3 innings in his last two starts. He went 0-2 despite posting an ERA of 2.76 over a five-start streak before he produced a home run and four other hits in eight innings of an 11-1 victory over Colorado on Saturday. The left hander improved to 2-1 and dropped his ERA to 6.89 versus the Brewers after he allowed a homer to Jean Segura in six innings in a 3-1 victory at Milwaukee on April 5. Arizona’s ace, All-Star Paul Goldschmidt is batting at an average of .414 with seven RBIs in seven matches, and has hit an average of .400 (12 for 30) with three homers, six doubles and nine RBIs in eight career matchups against Milwaukee. He is now at 3 for 3 with a double against Gallardo.
